Lingaro is launching its IT Power Women Global Mentoring Programme in India, upholding its commitment to promoting gender diversity in the technology space. The data services and information technology (IT) solutions firm is launching the programme in India, Poland as well as the Philippines at the same time with an aim to equip women professionals in the information technology sector with mentorship, career guidance, and leadership-development opportunities.

The initiative will help build a more inclusive, diverse and supportive workplace for women in the technology sector. The core objectives of the programme are: empowerment, development, networking, inclusion and leadership.

The programme has already supported over 35 mentees and recognized by the Responsible Business Forum, Poland’s largest NGO focusing on corporate social responsibility. By launching it in India, Lingaro is expanding its efforts to empower more women in technology, reinforcing its vision of a diverse, equitable and inclusive industry.

Suresh Ramamoorthy, country head, Lingaro India, is proud to share that “women already make up 31 per cent of our global workforce, with 40 per cent of managerial roles held by women, a significant achievement in the male-dominated IT sector.”

According to him, “The IT Power Women Global Mentoring Programme builds on this success, as we believe that empowering women in IT is not just about mentorship, it is about shaping the future of technology. This programme is a crucial step toward fostering leadership, enabling career growth, and creating an equitable tech ecosystem where talented women can thrive.”

The programme follows a structured process, including mentor recruitment, wherein experience mentors are selected from within the company through an internal assessment process. Female tech students who demonstrate motivation, engagement and a strong commitment to personal and professional development will be invited to apply through an online application process. Then, mentors and mentees will be carefully matched based on their skills, experience and career goals, ensuring meaningful mentoring relationships.

The programme will be officially kicked off at a launch event, where participants will meet, programme expectations will be set, and mentoring best practices will be covered in an interactive training session.

Periodic meetings of mentors and mentees will be held to discuss career aspirations, challenges and actionable development plans.

The programme will offer opportunities for participants to network with one another and other women in the IT field at Lingaro. The event will also see achievements being honoured. Feedback will be invited to improve the future editions of the same.

Women’s Workforce Participation Rate (WPR) in India’s tech space is expected to rise to 14.9 per cent, signaling a demographic shift in the country’s fastest-growing industries. Currently, 1.92 million women are part of the tech workforce. Lingaro’s IT Power Women Global Mentoring programme aims to ensure that its women are well equipped to not just be a part of the system but also contribute to the growth of the sector. The programme aims to bridge the gender gap, provide career acceleration opportunities, and create a more inclusive industry landscape.

Lingaro Group provides end-to-end data service to over 80 global enterprises through offices in Warsaw, Lublin, Geneva, Zurich, Cincinnati, Mexico City, Manila, Bangalore and Singapore.
