    Hyatt has appointed Namrata Sharma as area director-human resources

    Sharma moves from The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts where she was director of operations

    Namrata Sharma has moved from The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, after two years, to take on the role of area director of human resources at Hyatt.
    Sharma began her career in the hospitality space with Taj Hotels where she played assistant manager-HR for three years, from 2009 to 2012.

    She then spent over six and a half years as director-HR, The Park Hotels.
    August of 2018 was witness to Namrata Sharma accepting the role of director of human resources, Marriott Hotels, working out of Mumbai for over three and a half years.

    Sharma’s next stop was GreenPark Hotels and Resorts where she essayed the role of general manager-human resources, from March of 2022 to December of 2023. This role saw her based out of Hyderabad.
    It was in December of 2023 that she joined The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts as area director of human resources, managing the northern region. Less than a year into this role, she was elevated to director of operations, working out of Hyderabad.

    Her latest assignment at Hyatt will see her leading the people strategy across various Hyatt properties assigned to her. She will be tasked with handling talent management, organisational development (OD), and strengthening HR systems in line with business goals.

    Namrata Sharma is an alumna of the Narsee Monji Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai from where she completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. She went on to complete an Executive Programme in Human Capital Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Additionally, she has completed various professional development programmes from Cornell University too.
