Ravi Kumar has been appointed chief talent officer, Quarks. He was earlier with Cyient, as vice president, global head of talent acquisition.
After completing an MBA in Marketing and Human Resources, Ravi Kumar began his professional journey as a recruitment officer at Datamatics, in 1997.
Two and a half years later, he got the opportunity to play recruitment manager for HCL Technologies, which he grabbed for over a year.
In 2001, he joined Geometric Americas. There he spent over 12 years, with his last designation being director- global talent acquisition, working out of Pune and the US. During this longest tenure of his career, he successfully established a robust global-talent acquisition function to acquire talent for software product engineering.
April of 2014 saw Ravi Kumar taking up the role of global head-talent acquisition, Quest Global. He spent over nine and a half years working on the global resourcing strategy to scale the organisation to be a trusted thinking partner of choice for digital-transformation solutions.
It was in November of 2023 that he joined Cyient as vice president-global head of talent acquisition.
Now, in his latest assignment at Quarks, the AI-powered, platform-driven digital engineering & enterprise modernisation powerhouse, Ravi Kumar will be based in Bengaluru and will work to create chie and establish a culture of excellence in alignment with Quarks’ goal of becoming a sought-after digital-transformation partner.
A simple and down-to-earth Ravi Kumar is known for his extraordinary ability to get the right candidate, something which will serve him in good stead in his new assignment as a “fellow Quarkie”.
