AssetPlus, a platform for mutual fund distributors in India, has picked Mayank Kapoorr to play the role of chief human resources officer (CHRO). He will be based out of Chennai.
An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Mayank Kapoorr has completed the Future Leaders Programme at Harvard Business School.
He spent the initial years of his career as a lobby manager at The Park Hotel, New Delhi. Then, in May of 2003, he joined IBM Daksh Business Process Services, as manager, training. For over four years, he managed leadership and functional training for this BFSI client services organisation incuding soft-skills training of 3000 employees.
August of 2007 saw him taking up the role of senior manager, learning and development, 24/7 Inc. Over a year later, he moved to NIIT to head training administration. During this short stint, he supported training delivery across all Genpact India sites, covering about 36,000 employees across voice and non-voice operations.
In September of 2009 he began a five-year long association with Aircel. He joined as head-learning systems and processes. Over three years later, he was promoted to head-learning and development (North & West India).
Kapoorr’s next stop was Snapdeal where he served as director-human resources (head-Snapdeal Academy) from 2015 to 2016.
From January of 2017 to August of 2023, he headed human resources administration (CHRO) for Freecharge. For over six years he successfully partnered with the CEO, leadership team, and Board/NRC on workforce strategy, executive compensation, succession planning, and leadership development.
It was in August of 2023 that he came to be appointed global head-people success (CHRO) at M2P Fintech.
Known to be a dedicated and self-motivated person, his ability to provide strategic direction and guidance will be a true asset to AssetPlus.
