Guala Closures, the closure-solutions company, has appointed Vaibhav Korgaonkar as its regional human resources director-APAC & Africa. He moves from Teva Pharmaceuticals where he played director human resources-business operations and supply for two years.
After completing a PGDM in Human Resources Management from Goa Institute of Management, Vaibhav Korgaonkar joined United Breweries as HR manager in June of 2009. After almost three years, he moved to Micro Labs as deputy general manager, human resources, working out of Verna, Goa.
His next stop was Merck India, in June of 2013. There, he played HRBP-healthcare (operations and supply chain management) and performance materials India. For the next five and a half years, he was responsible for absolute end-to-end personnel and operational HR ownership for pharma & API manufacturing units, technical centres of excellence (COEs), contract manufacturing organisations (CMO), corporate quality, and regional innovation teams.
December of 2018 was witness to Korgaonkar taking up the role of senior manager-human resources at Procer & Gamble. Just over two years into this role, he was elevated to India LR-ER leader, HR lead India PHC PS organisation.
In November 2021, Korgaonkar relocated from Goa to Bangalore when he joined Biocon Biologics as general manager/lead HR manufacturing.
ELGI Equipments roped him in to play general manager-human resources, in June of 2023. Based out of Coimbatore for the next one year, he was entrusted with complete human capital governance and strategic resource allocation across a complex infrastructure of five industrial manufacturing plants and key corporate divisions.
He was back in Goa in May 2024, playing director human resources-business operations and supply at Teva Pharmaceuticals.
In his latest assignment at Guala Closures, the packaging and containers manufacturing company, he will be expected to provide strategic human resources direction and operational oversight for the company across the high-growth APAC and Africa regions.
