Zepto, the Indian quick commerce startup, has appointed Sushant S as director & India head-people experience, enterprise workforce transformation and operations strategy.
He was earlier with Diestic Technologies as vice president and head of people-India.
An alumnus of Xavier Institute of Social Service, Sushant began his professional journey handling the people advisory and operations (TA payroll planning) for Triumphant Institute of Management Education (TIME) from 2013 to 2015.
He then played consultant-organisation effectiveness for Tata Motors for a short while, before joining ITC as part of a KITES Internship Programme in April of 2016.
Over a year later, he was appointed senior HRBP-BU leadership, in June of 2017. For the next four years and nine months, he led end-to-end HRBP charter for ITC’s Aashirwad Dairy greenfield launch, building the people and operating backbone. Not only did he own people strategy for a 4,000+ manufacturing workforce, he also architected the enterprise capability and leadership ecosystem, launching manager assimilation, experiential learning, digital L&D platforms, and IDP frameworks, among other responsibilities.
February of 2022 saw him taking on the role of HR lead North and India compliance and ER lead at Amazon. Over a year into this role, he switched to Nestle where he head HR (FMC retail and nutrition)-East India for a short while.
December of 2023 saw him relocating from Kolkata to Gurugram to join Diestic Technologies as VP and head of people-India.
Now, at Zepto, he will be leading a 300,000+ workforce ecosystem across India.
