After two years of heading HR for Kritunga Restaurants and Franchises, based out of Hyderabad, Vijayanand K has now joined Royaloak Incorporation as chief human resources officer.
Interestingly, Vijayanand spent the initial years of his career as a project in charge responsible for designing landscapes of buildings and development of projects.
It was after a little less than five years that he joined Mphasis as a senior trainer, in November of 2002. Over three years into this role, he moved to Kotak Life Insurance as senior training manager in March of 2006.
Over two years later, in 2008, Vijayanand joined Tata AIG Life Insurance as manager-business impact, best practices office. Working out of Bangalore, he was responsible for identifying and reviving low-performing branches in South India region.
From February 2010 to May 2012, he served as project-HR-generalist, SPAR India (Max Hypermarket India). For over two years he successfully handled the HR initiations and practices for all new store launches across the country including hiring, training, onboarding, people hygiene and infra structure.
June of 2012 saw Vijayanand taking up the role of HR lead at Fishaway Aquarists. There, he habndled talent sourcing & transformation, compensation & benefits, employee welfare & grievances, employee engagement, strategic initiatives & tactical operations, performance management & succession planning for about four years.
Then followed a stint with Café Coffee Day for a year and a half before he was roped in for the position of head of HR, L&D compliance, at Munchbox Frozen Foods. Just over four years into this role, he was promoted to vice president-HR, in 2022.
From 2023 to 2024 he was associated with kitchens@Loyal Hospitality as general manager-human resources.
He then relocated to Hyderabad to play head of HR at Kritunga in June of 2024, driving initiatives in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and performance management.
His latest assignment at Royaloak, the furniture brand, will see him heading HR and L&D for India and the UAE.
