The RP Sanjiv Goenka Group has brought on board Puneet Shrivastava as head – talent acquisition for its renewables business. Based in Delhi, he will lead talent strategy for the group’s Purvah Green and Solvanta verticals amid aggressive expansion in clean energy.

Srivastava’s focus areas include end-to-end talent acquisition, workforce planning, leadership hiring, and aligning people strategy with business goals. He emphasises a people-first culture, noting that organisational success is driven by capable people even as technology accelerates.

In his new role, he will be tasked with building scalable hiring frameworks and a future-ready talent pool to support RPSG’s growing renewable portfolio.

Tracing his career, Puneet Shrivastava started at Moser Baer Solar as assistant manager – HR from April 2009 to March 2015. Over six years, he managed HR for manufacturing and EPC, handling talent acquisition, performance management, engagement and policy rollout, and closed 300+ positions in solar production.

He joined Adani Solar from March 2015 to July 2017 as lead-talent acquisition for the solar PV manufacturing business. As the first HR hire for the unit, he helped design the org structure for Ahmedabad and Mundra and supported scaling to 1.2 GW. He closed 400+ roles with 98 per cent onboarding success and built pipelines for critical manufacturing and corporate functions.

Between July 2017 and September 2018, he led talent for solar, energy storage and EV at ACME Cleantech, closing 150+ positions. He then served as regional head HR at Sterling and Wilson, overseeing HR operations for 1000+ employees across North and East India, and spearheaded SAP SuccessFactors implementation.

At Sembcorp Industries from April 2024 to November 2025 as deputy GM HR, he built the Hydrogen business from ground up, managing TA across India and Middle East. Most recently, from November 2025 to July 2026, he was head – talent acquisition & corporate HRBP at SAEL, driving recruitment for waste-to-energy and IPP businesses.

With this appointment, RPSG strengthens leadership to power its next wave of renewable growth.

HRKatha wishes Puneet Srivastava all the best in his new role!
