After five years of association with Karix, a telecommunications firm, Uma Singh has been promoted to the position of senior director-human resources. Singh had joined the company back in 2021 as regional human resources partner.

A year into this role, she was promoted to associate director-HR business partner. Two years later, in April of 2024, she was elevated once again and made director-HRBP, and now she has reached the level of senior director-HR.

An alumna of Indian Institute of Business Management and Studies from where she completed an MBA in Human Resources Management, Singh was associated with Bharti AXA Life Insurance for over a year and a half in the initial years of her career, from 2010 to 2011.

She took up the role of executive-HR at Hitachi Payment Services, in March of 2012. In just over two years, she was elevated to manager-human resources, in April of 2014. She spent the next seven years managing full-cycle HR for multiple business units across Mumbai Metropolitan Region. April of 2018 saw her being elevated to senior human resources manager, leading end-to-end HR operations and supporting 500+ employees across functions.

After a stint of over nine years with Hitachi Payment Services, Uma Singh moved to Karix, a company that empowers enterprises to use mobile phones to transform their businesses at all stages of customer life cycle, from acquisition to retention.

Given her innovative approach in terms of training and her unique ability to mould and groom new talent, and lead from the front, she will continue to be an asset to Karix.

HRKatha wishes Uma Singh all the best.
