    AllianceBernstein appoints Akanksha Sane as senior vice president, people

    The former SG Analytics chief people officer brings over two decades of strategic human resources experience to Pune operations.

    AllianceBernstein (AB) has expanded its leadership team in Pune by appointing Akanksha Sane as senior vice president, people. Bringing more than 25 years of extensive industry experience, Sane will lead key HR transformations, workforce management, and organisational development strategies to drive the firm’s ongoing growth initiatives.

    Sane’s professional career reflects steady advancement across prominent multinational organisations. She began her professional journey as an office manager at IFRC (2000–2002), followed by early HR roles as branch coordination executive at ING Vysya Life Insurance (2002–2004) and assistant manager at P&O Nedlloyd (2004–2006).

    She significantly built her core leadership portfolio during a six-year tenure at WNS Global Services as associate vice president (2006–2012). Moving forward, she took charge as head of business HR at Tech Mahindra Business Services (2012–2015), followed by a three-year stint as director of human resources at Flextronics Technologies (2015–2018).

    Prior to joining AllianceBernstein, Akanksha Sane spearheaded people strategies at PTC for over six years as senior director and head of human resources, India (2018–2024). Most recently, she served as chief people officer at SG Analytics from January 2025 to August 2026, shaping senior talent agendas and workplace policies.

    Throughout her career, Sane has successfully implemented diversity and inclusion frameworks, compensation programmes, and cultural transformation initiatives. Her comprehensive background across the entire talent management lifecycle positions her well to foster strong leadership development and operational excellence in her new role at AllianceBernstein.
