Realising how mental health is a top priority for Gen Z, the company offers an inclusive health insurance policy that goes beyond traditional coverage, providing extensive support for mental health needs. The objective is to ensure that employees as well as their families are able to access the care they need, allowing them to give their best to work. The approach sees to it that the employees are able to unleash their creativity without having to face health-related stress.

As Iftikar Ahmed, senior director for operations, TELUS Digital India puts it, “At TELUS Digital India, we understand that a mentally-healthy workforce is the cornerstone of innovation and exceptional customer service.”

He shares, “Our comprehensive mental-wellness strategy is designed to inspire and engage our team members, enabling them to bring their best selves to work every day.”

The innovative healthcare application not only offers unlimited free consultations with mental- health professionals, but also empowers employees to proactively manage their well-being. By removing barriers to mental-health support, TELUS Digital India enables its team members to maintain peak performance and deliver exceptional results for customers.

The company’s impactful sessions on topics such as mindfulness, mental resilience, emotional and social wellness, and the mind-body connection equip employees with tools to manage stress and maintain high levels of engagement and creativity.

Additionally, the ‘Coaching for Excellence’ programme equips leaders to support their teams’ mental health. It provides its leaders with the training and framework to mentor their teams with empathy and intention. In doing so, it promotes a culture of continuous learning and psychological safety with the help of AI-powered personalised feedback and strength-based coaching. The programme reinforces TELUS Digital India’s commitment to inclusive leadership and team member growth, supporting mental resilience at every level.

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) such as Spectrum and Connections Women’s Network have emerged as safe spaces for sharing experiences and building resilience. These communities play a vital role in fostering a sense of belonging, which is essential for sustained creativity and engagement.

The company’s internal social-media platform has a dedicated wellbeing virtual space that serves as a hub for mental health resources and peer support.
