Delhi CEO gifts staff cash & leave to reconnect with parents

This Mother’s Day, a Delhi-based entrepreneur has gone viral for a unique gesture toward his employees. Rajat Grover, CEO of a marketing and PR firm, announced that his employees would receive three days of paid leave along with Rs10,000 to take their parents on a short holiday.

The idea was shared in an Instagram video that quickly caught attention online. Grover explained that modern work routines often leave little time for children to understand their parents’ wishes or health needs. His initiative was designed to encourage employees to pause, ask their parents about their dreams, and spend quality time together.

The scheme covers travel and expenses for a three-day trip, with the company reimbursing up to Rs 10,000. Employees were encouraged to plan outings based on their parents’ preferences, whether it’s food they enjoy or places they have always wanted to visit.

Grover’s announcement struck a chord because it highlighted how parents often sacrifice their own aspirations for their children, yet rarely ask for anything in return. By offering both money and time off, the company is nudging staff to give back in a meaningful way.

The move has been widely praised on social media as a refreshing example of workplace culture that values family bonds alongside professional commitments. It also reflects a growing trend of employers experimenting with creative benefits that go beyond traditional perks, aiming to strengthen employee morale and personal well-being.
