Deloitte, the professional services firm and a part of the Big 4, is establishing four dedicated tech centres across Britain. These will come up in Cardiff, Manchester, Newcastle and Belfast. The one in Belfast is expected to be the largest—with 1,300 employees— and will give rise to 500 new tech jobs over a period of three years.

At first these centres will start working with about 50 of the highly-skilled techies. As members of Technology & Transformation exercise, these techies will design, build and run tech solutions to fulfill customer needs.

These centres will begin functioning next month and will primarily focus on creating apps and integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into software, devices and systems.

The company is expanding as the demand is increasing and it has felt the need to keep pace with the requirements of its clients across the UK.

Additionally, Deloitte is gearing to upskill its new employees by conducting training programmes. These programmes will also benefit those who are switching careers and those graduates without a tech background. It will also be advantageous for those who are returning to the active workforce after a break.

The opening of the Belfast centre is expected to give a boost to the economy of Northern Ireland and create employment opportunities for the local talent of the region.
