Pune-based EdTech startup Beep has secured $850,000 in a Pre-Series A funding round, bringing its total funding to $1.5 million. The round saw participation from Knowhere Ventures LLC, Pacific Global Solutions Limited, LeadAngels FLV, and individual investors including Vipul Prakash (Founder of wowJobs) and Sandeep Johri (CEO of Checkmarx).
The company plans to use the fresh capital to scale its platform to 5 million users and onboard 150 more colleges within the next nine months. Beep will also expand its portfolio of industry-relevant programs designed to give students practical, job-ready skills that match real hiring needs. Currently, Beep offers over 28 live programmes across design, certification, and internship tracks, helping learners move more quickly from education to employment.
Saurabh Mangrulkar, founder and CEO, Beep, said the goal is to create a “Tier 1-like career ecosystem” for students from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, giving them equal access to opportunities. Recent product upgrades include AI-powered career tools, job-ready learning programmes, and improved recruiter and college workflows to deliver better outcomes for students.
Since its launch in 2021, Beep has helped more than 30,000 students and early professionals secure placements, internships, and gig opportunities. Today, the platform serves 6.5 million users, partners with over 1,500 colleges, and works with 7,800 hiring companies across India.
Beep’s offerings include mentorship, resume support, job and internship access, professional upskilling programmes with placement assistance, UniBeep for institutional placement management, and BeepHire.ai for AI-powered fresher recruitment.
The funding strengthens Beep’s position at a time when EdTech is increasingly focused on linking education with employability, ensuring students gain skills that lead to real career outcomes.
