As part of its plans to expand its base, Teleperformance, the global BPO, is all set to hire about 20,000 people in India alone, over the next year and a half. It aims to target the tier II and tier III cities of the country for its talent requirements.

The Company, which has about 80,000 people in its workforce, expects to hire in significant numbers from tier –III cities and allow them the flexibility to work from home or anywhere.

The business process management outsourcing provider will also hire members of the LGBTQ community and give more opportunities to women to take up leadership roles, taking its diversity agenda forward.

Very recently, the Company appointed Anish Mukker as its CEO in India.

While the Company has presence in about 80 countries, India remains one of its most rapidly growing markets thanks to it being a hub of talent in the areas of technology, analytics and customer experience.

Over the next 18 months, the Fortune 1000 company hopes to take its headcount to 1,00,000 in India.

The Company is reportedly planning to establish an office in Mohali, Punjab and also one in Gurugram soon.

The 20-year old BPO has big growth plans and hopes to obtain more business from both foreign and domestic companies in the tech, healthcare, financial services and retail space in the near future.
