Ishan Sharma, a Bengaluru-based YouTuber, who was once a techie, is grabbing headlines because of his offer of “top market salary + % of the revenue I make” for a chief of staff role. His social-media post says he wants a suitable candidate for the role based in Bengaluru and also makes it clear that it is a very responsible and extremely important position for which he will pay an attractive salary, along with a share in the revenue he earns. However, he does not specify the exact package in his post.

Only experienced professionals possessing top content-marketing skills, writing skills as well as design and editing skills are preferred by  Ishan Sharma. The ideal candidate should be capable of leading a team of writers, designers and editors, while also helping Sharma create content on YouTube and other social-media platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.

Twenty-three year old Ishan Sharma is looking for a person who not only possesses leadership skills but knows how to use YouTube Studio, analyse data, predict trends and know what kind of content will gaine maximum traction. He has invited video resumes from applicants wherein he wants them to pitch their suitability for the role. The video, Sharma demands, should come with links to the details of the candidate’s experience along with samples of content-marketing work. He has also asked people to forward his post to friends or acquaintances who may be suitable for the role.
