An overwhelming 1,505 youth registered for the job fair—organised by Bal Bharti Academy, the CSR arm of CEF Group, in partnership with Bosch—in Nagaland’s Dimapur.
Bal Bharti Academy and Bosch held a career guidance session to help job seekers understand different career options and what employers expect. The session covered job trends, interview tips, and workplace skills to improve their chances of getting hired. Experts also gave one-on-one counselling, answered questions, and shared advice on career growth. Participants learned how to enhance their skills and prepare for long-term career success.
The event saw active participation by 705 jobseekers who were given 322 offers by 12 companies from across various sectors. The companies that were part of the job fair were G4S, Barbeque Nation, Rockwell School, Talent Acquaintance, Arise Solution, Skylynn Aviation, Compass Group of India, HCAH, Playdate, Jivitha Educare Consultancy, SRK and Shree Balaji Holdings.
While Compass Group of India hired 55 people, Shree Balaji Holdings recruited 47, and Talent Acquaintance offered jobs to 40.
Maninder Singh Nayyar, secretary, Bal Bharti Academy, highlighted the importance of such events, saying, “Nagaland’s unemployment rate is 19.2 per cent, with youth unemployment even higher at 55.2 per cent. Job fairs like this help address the employment gap and create much-needed opportunities. The success of this event shows the urgent need for more such initiatives in the region. Bal Bharti Academy and Bosch are dedicated to organizing more job fairs and supporting skill development programs. We are also running a project for persons with disabilities in Delhi and Kannauj, helping 50 individuals. This initiative strengthens our commitment to empowering youth and building a stronger workforce in India.”
Sakina Baker, CSR head, Bosch India and Bosch India Foundation, pointed out, “Providing jobs is just one part of the solution, helping young people gain confidence, skills, and direction is just as important. This job fair has given many individuals the chance to take control of their careers and contribute meaningfully to society. Seeing so many candidates secure jobs reinforces our commitment to closing the employment gap, promoting long-term career growth, and driving economic progress for individuals and communities alike.”
The even was attending by GB Kahuto Chishi, who was the chief guest, Shivesh Kumar Mishra, programme manager, Bosch India Foundation, Anuj Jain, senior manager, Bal Bharti Academy, and Wati, coordinator, Bal Bharti Academy.
Encouraged by the positive response to the fair, Bal Bharti Academy and Bosch plan to host more job fairs, BRIDGE Programme training and career programmes in the future.
