    Infosys chooses Deval Shah to play GCC leader

    Deval Shah, vice president-delivery head, Infosys, has been chosen to lead the Global Capacity Centre practice for the company.

    Earlier, Deval Shah was managing director and country head India, Danske IT and Support Services India, for almost six years, from 2017 to August of 2023. Infosys acquired Danske Bank’s IT centre in India with its 1,400-strong workforce.

    This engineering graduate from University of Mumbai, holds an MS in Systems Science and Theory from Louisiana State University.

    From 1993 to 1999 he was the director, Aegis Communication, based out of Texas. He then moved to Deutsche Software as ASM practice head, in 2001.

    After two years with Deutsche, he switched to HCL-Capital Market Services, as delivery manager. He worked out of Bengaluru for two and a half years before joining HCL Technologies in July 2006.

    He took on the role of business unit head for well over three and a half years.

    February of 2010 saw him taking up the role of India IT head at State Street Global Advisors. Just over a year later, he was appointed managing director and country head-India, State Street. He stayed put with State Street for over six years, till September 2017, working out of Begaluru.

    It was in October of 2017 that he joined Danske IT and Support Services India as managing director and country head-India. Almost six years later, Deval Shah found himself accepting the role of vice president-delivery head, Infosys.

    He will now head the GCC practice for Infosys. HRKatha wishes him all the best in shouldering this responsibility!
