    Navin Kumar appointed factory HR head, Nestle

    Kumar moves to Nestle after a 15-year long association with Tata Steel, where his last-held designation was that of head-HRBP bearings division

    After a successful stint at Tata Steel that lasted well over 15 years, Navin Kumar has taken up the role of factory HR head, Nestle.

    An alumnus of the Xavier Institute of Social Service, Navin Kumar began his professional journey with ACC, where he joined as assistant manager-HR&EW, working out of Chandrapur, Maharashtra.

    A year later, he began his long association with Tata Steel. He joined as manager-HR/IR (Jharia division/OMQ division), based out of Dhanbad. A little less than four years into this role, he was elevated to senior manager-HR/IR (corporate services division), Tata Steel, Jamshedpur. Another promotion came by within nine months, which made him senior manager-HRM (EQMS and engineering services), shared services division, Tata Steel, Jamshedpur.

    Almost four years later, he was put in the position of senior manager, HRM, amenities and CWR cell, Tata Steel Jamshedpur. A year later he was elevated yet again, to head BU HRM Noamandi, OMQ division. September of 2019 saw him playing head BU HRM iron making and CWR cell, TSK, working out of Kalinganagar. From December 2020 to April of 2024, he was head HRBP shared services TSJ. Another promotion in April 2024 made him head HRBP, bearings division, based out of Kharagpur, West Bengal.

    Known for his exceptional interpersonal skills, empathetic nature and ability to lead, guide and mentor, Navin Kumar is sure to be an asset to Nestle. HRKatha wishes him all the best!
