Celebrating 90 years of excellence, The Oberoi Group has launched the ‘RISE’ (Refine and Invest in Skill Enhancement) programme, a transformative employment and skill-development initiative. This marks a major milestone in the Group’s legacy of nurturing talent and fostering community impact.

RISE aims to provide young individuals from diverse backgrounds with comprehensive training in both technical and soft skills, ensuring guaranteed careers in hospitality. By 2025, the programme plans to onboard 1,800–2,000 trainees annually. The focus areas will be food & beverage (F&B) service, kitchen operations, front office, housekeeping, and laundry.

Trainee selection will be conducted in collaboration with top skilling institutions, including Job Plus, the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

RISE reflects The Oberoi Group’s enduring commitment to excellence while addressing the changing needs of the hospitality industry. Over nine decades, the Group has become synonymous with world-class service, talent development, and societal contributions.

RISE offers participants aged 18–22 a holistic development journey, combining life skills with technical expertise to prepare them for thriving hospitality careers. Trainees will benefit from mentorship and hands-on experience at The Oberoi Group’s leading hotels, alongside comprehensive support for their education needs. Additionally, they will receive remuneration, ensuring financial stability as they embark on their professional journey.

Beyond technical training, RISE emphasises confidence building and equips participants with the skills needed to excel in the dynamic hospitality industry and beyond.

Vikram Oberoi, CEO, The Oberoi Group, stated, “RISE embodies our founder Rai Bahadur M.S. Oberoi’s values and belief in nurturing talent. As we celebrate 90 years, this initiative symbolises our vision of creating meaningful opportunities and building a lasting legacy of care and service.”

Shailja Singh, chief human resources officer,The Oberoi Group, emphasised, “We are not just creating careers but building confidence and empowering individuals. RISE underscores inclusivity, growth and excellence, ensuring participants emerge as skilled professionals ready to succeed in the dynamic hospitality world.”
