Apna.co, the employment portal has entered into an agreement with the Madhya Pradesh government to generate one lakh jobs across the state annually.
A Memorandum of Understanding or MoU has been signed to this effect by Apna.co and the Directorate of Employment of the state.
Through this collaboration with the Directorate of Employment as well as the Department of Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment, Madhya Pradesh will witness one lakh job opportunities being created for its youth per year. The opportunities will be available across sectors, including logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and information technology (IT).
The tie-up is looking to bridge the gap between job seekers and recruiters with the help of digital channels. The technology used by Apna.co, driven by artificial intelligence (AI) will help the youth across Madhya Pradesh access diverse job opportunities and apply to the ones most suited to them.
As part of this collaboration, the registered micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the state, numbering about 38 lakh will be given Rs 2,000 in credits to enable them to post one job listing for free along with access to candidate profiles. The move is expected to lead to rapid economic growth across the state as it will streamline the hiring process.
The Directorate of Employment will also invest in awareness and outreach programmes in collaboration with district employment offices, MSME associations, Common Service Centres (CSCs), along with digital channels.
The signing of the agreement happened in the presence of Minister of State for School Education Inder Singh Parmer and Minister of State for Skill Development and Employment Gautam Tetwal.
Nirmit Parikh is the founder and CEO of Apna.co, the job-matching and professional-networking platform.
