Arooshi Singh has been elevated to the position of head-HR, Unacademy. This youngster’s association with the the firm began in 2017, based out of Bengaluru. She began by handling employee wellness and engagements at the edtech unicorn for two years, before being elevated to the role of lead-employee experience and welfare, in September 2019. A year into this role, she was elevated again, to the position of senior manager, employee experience and welfare. July of 2021 saw her in the position of associate director, people experience and culture. Eight months later came another promotion that put her in the seat of director, people experience and culture. The latest elevation at the SoftBank-backed edtech firm will see her heading HR.
In the early years of her career, Singh has interned with Weber Shandwick and served as business development specialist for Directi. At the latter she successfully provided strategic inputs for the business based on interactions with prospective customers. She also managed client accounts, while strategising to maximise revenue. As founder of Rooh Yoga, she has been teaching Yoga since 2013, conducting beginner- to advanced-level classes on meditation and yogic kriyas. She has even curated various workshops for corporates pan India.
