    Ashish Goel to take on CHRO role at Kajaria Ceramics

    He was earlier CHRO, Essel Group| ZeeMedia for over seven years

    Kajaria Ceramics has appointed Ashish Goel as chief human resources officer (CHRO) starting 13 February 2026. He moves from Essel Group|Zee Media where he was serving in a similar capacity since October 2018.

    Ashish Goel, an alumnus of Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA), Savitribai Phule Pune University, began his career with MKM Group, as assistant manager.

    For almost six years, he stayed with MKM Group, working on organisation restructuring and business process re-engineering.

    From May of 2000 to July of 2003 Goel was human resources manager, Career Launcher. He helped build the organisation from a nascent stage- created all the processes. He was witness to the organisation growing from three locations to more than 100 locations.

    Goel’s next stop was Hero MotoCorp where he served as head of HR from 2003 to 2006. He designed and implemented HR systems and processes across all regions in a wide geography. He also carried out external HR consulting projects, competency mapping, and restructuring for large MNCs, while also developing talent acquisition and learning solutions.

    August of 2006 was witness to Ashish Goel joining Vodafone as general manager, human resources. For almost three and a half years, he was responsible for leadership development, capability building, talent management, career progression and succession planning, as well as culture for 2,500 direct and 9,000 indirect employees spread across all locations in India. He successfully handled the change from Hutch to Vodafone, ensuring brand and processes were embedded in the transition.

    Technicon Group appointed him CHRO in 2010. For over eight and a half years, he stayed put there extensively working on developing and institutionalising performance driven culture. During is tenure, he created a capability building and talent-management strategy and processes. He also revamped the talent acquisition as well as compensation & benefit strategy.

    It was in October of 2018 that he came to be associated with Essel Group|Zee Media as CHRO. For the past seven odd years he had been realigning the HR strategy as per the organisation’s business strategy.

    In his latest assignment at Kajaria Ceramics, Goel will be expected to drive the human capital strategy for the company that manufactures ceramic and vitrified tiles.
