    Avinash Agrawal is now CPO, SBI Cards and Payment Services

    Agrawal has spent three decades with State Bank of India, with his most recent designation being deputy general manager, business solutions

    SBI Cards and Payments has appointed Avinash Agrawal as chief people officer (CPO). He was earlier serving State Bank of India (SBI) as deputy general manager, business solutions.

    A science graduate with an MBA in Finance from Indira Gandhi National Open University, Avinash Agrawal began his long association with SBI in May of 1995. He joined as branch manager/ branch operations. Over 16 years into this role he was elevated to country coordinator, Australia. Almost a year and a half later, he was promoted to AGM, procurement.

    From October 2016 to 2018, he served as AGM YONO ( short for You Only Need One) and programme manager, project YONO, GITC, Belapur. In June of 2018 Avinash Agrawal was promoted to AGM & faculty, SBI Staff College, Hyderabad. A little over four years later, he was elevated to AGM (digital and e-commerce). This role saw him relocating to Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. By June of 2024, he was made deputy general manager, business solutions, working out of Mumbai.

    Among other skills Avinash Agrawal has work experience in digital banking, marketing of digital products & e-commerce, development of digital app/portal, cyber security, digital frauds, faculty training, negotiation skill, IT- procurement, foreign & domestic operations, retail banking, vigilance, cross-selling, financial planning, marketing and selling skills, as well as core banking. During his tenure at SBI, handled sessions on various banking and financial topics for senior officials as well as MBA students.
