Binita Agarwal is the new chief financial officer (CFO), foundit (formerly Monster APAC & ME). She has moved from AppsForBharat where she served as head of finance for well over three years, having begun in June 2021.

A commerce graduate and an alumna of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Agarwal served as a senior assurance auditor at Ernst and Young from 2011 to 2013.

She then moved to Goldman Sachs as an associate. During the period 2013 to 2017, she set up the Regulatory Reporting process in Bangalore with transition from the US, and streamlined processes for better efficiency. She helped achieve significant reduction in man hours and operational costs. She also worked with internal and external teams to review risk-related data such as exposure, duration, notional, leverage and liquidity.

Agarwal’s next stop was HungerBox where she was head of finance for over a year. During her tenure, she set up the entire finance and accounting team and processes, taking care of accounting, auditing and taxation-related matters.

From 2018 to 2021, she played head of finance, Headout. There, she built and transformed finance for all entities present in multiple geographies such as the US (HeadQuarter), UK, Europe, Dubai, Hong Kong and India.

It was in June of 2021 that she moved to AppsForBharat where she built robust financial systems, leading fundraising efforts, and supporting high-growth expansion.

At foundit, she will lead the finance and accounts function across all regions, playing a pivotal role in shaping foundit’s long-term financial vision and supporting its growth strategy.

Backed by over 15 years of experience across finance, compliance, investor relations and business strategy, Binita Agarwal’s expertise in driving financial efficiency and cost optimisation will be an asset to foundit.

V Suresh, CEO, foundit is relying on her “deep expertise across both startup and enterprise finance, along with valuable cross-regional experience.” He is confident that “her insights will be key to strengthening our financial systems and building long-term value.”

Her experience spanning markets across the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, brings a global lens to risk management and cross-border operations.

Binita Agarwal herself is looking forward to “working closely with the leadership team” at the Indian jobs and talent platform, “to drive disciplined growth, enhance financial agility, and create new opportunities for operational excellence.”
