After a long and successful tenure of over 14 years with Tata Communications, Vikas Somani has taken up the role of vice president-sales at Eventus Security, the global provider of AI-driven managed-security services.

An alumnus of the Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management, Vikas Somani served as manager-business development at Sixth Sense Informatics, from November 2001 to December 2002. He then moved to Net4India as regional manager for well over three years.

In September of 2006 he joined Airtel as manager-enterprise and service providers. Over four years into this role, he switched to Tata Communications.

His association with Tata Communications began with product sales (MPLS & Ethernet)-Western region, in November of 2010. Just over two years into this role, he was elevated to associate director-sales, Middle East and Turkey. This role saw him working out of Dubai for over six years.

In October of 2019, he was appointed general manager, enterprise sales, West (India). Five years later came another promotion that made him AVP sales and region head. His association with Tata communications lasted 14 years and 10 months.

Now, as VP-sales, India, Vikas Somani will drive growth initiatives and strengthen customer partnerships for Eventus Security in the Indian market, while supporting the company’s expanding global footprint.

Over the course of his career, Vikas has successfully led complex enterprise deals across digital services, cloud, managed security and telecom solutions. He is widely recognised for combining strategic vision with hands-on execution, building high-performing teams, and fostering long-term customer trust.

“His deep expertise in scaling enterprise businesses and his strong customer-first mindset will play a pivotal role in accelerating our next phase of growth,” said Sunil Sapra, co-founder and chief growth officer, Eventus Security.
