    Hindustan Petroleum’s director – HR, Pushp K. Joshi elevated as CMD

    Pushp Kumar Joshi has taken charge as the chairman and managing director at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) from 08 May, 2022. Prior to this appointment, Joshi was heading the HR function at HPCL as its director – HR. With this appointment, Joshi will also shoulder the additional role of director-marketing at HPCL.

    Joshi carries over three decades of experience in the HR function and has held various portfolios in the HR domain at HPCL, such as executive director – HR and general manager – HR for marketing.

    As the director – HR at HPCL, Joshi was responsible for overseeing the design and deployment of key human resource policies and strategies, while leading human resources practices that are employee-oriented and aimed at building a high- performance culture.

    Joshi has played a pivotal role in leading key transformational and strategic initiatives across HPCL, such as Project Akshay, Akshaypath and many more.

    Earlier this year, Alka Mittal, former director HR at ONGC was also elevated as CMD.

    Joshi spearheaded HR practices at HPCL with a strong business focus and contemporary approaches to leadership development, capability building and productivity enhancement by leveraging technology. He helped in developing and shaping the Company’s culture and values aligned to its vision, and provided support to the business and finance functions in the critical area of HR.

    A law graduate from Andhra University, Joshi also holds a doctorate and master’s degree in human resource management from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
