    HR head takes over the reins at Capgemini India

    Srinivas Kandula, chief people officer, IGate has replaced Aruna Jayanthi, CEO, Capgemini India.

    Srinivas Kandula has been appointed the CEO of Capgemini, India, replacing Aruna Jayanthi, who has moved to a global role in the Group. Kandula was EV-P, and chief people officer at IGate, the company acquired by Capgemini in 2015. He played a crucial role in the acquisition and ensured a smooth integration. Kandula has also joined the Capgemini Group Executive Committee.

    “Capgemini currently has over 87,000 employees in India, which is nearly 50 percent of the Group, and caters to over 800 customers globally. As we move forward, our agenda is to leverage our strong people capabilities for sustained growth and add to our client-centric innovation practices,” Kandula said in an official statement.

    Kandula is an HR generalist with over two decades of hands-on experience in all the facets of human resource management.

    Prior to joining iGATE he was responsible for the entire HR function at Sasken Communication Technologies.

    Prior to joining Sasken, he was the chief manager of corporate HR at the Power Grid Corporation of India.

    Kandula attained his Master’s in HR from Campus Faculty, Andhra University.

    He wrote a doctoral thesis on ‘Alignment Between Corporate Restructuring Strategies and Human Resource Intervention in BT-Top 500 Companies’ at XLRI, Jamshedpur. He has authored over 60 papers and eight books in the areas of strategic human resource development, performance management, organisation development and self-development published by international publishers in multiple languages.
