Paras Kaushik, who is chief human resources officer for the HT Media Group and also leads IT for the Group, will now see his role being expanded. He will shoulder the responsibility for the VCCircle and the Events (IP) business across the Hindustan Times and Mint mastheads.

Kaushik joined HT Media Group almost six years ago, as CHRO, moving from Motherson where he was heading group human resources.
Armed with a PGDM in Human Resources, Paras Kaushik joined Aditya Birla Group as a management trainee in 2002. Ten months into this role, he was promoted to manager-L&D, Hindalco. Less than two years later, he received another promotion that made him head of Aditya Birla Group Leadership Programmes, group HR.

This role saw him relocating from Renukut, Uttar Pradesh to Mumbai. The next promotion in 2007 made him head of HR-Aditya Birla Minacs, Philippines. Two years later, he moved back to India as project manager Mission 2012-higher education, BITS, Pilani.

From October 2011 to March 2013, he served as head HR-retail, Madura Fashion & Lifestyle. By April of 2013 he was heading HR for Pantaloons. He was elevated to VP-HR (learning, leadership and organisational development and South America region), Birla Carbon.

By the time Paras Kaushik moved on from Aditya Birla Group in 2019, he was heading HR for Lifestyle Brands, Aditya Birla Fasion and Retail.
Motherson roped him in to head group human resources in 2019.

It was in June of 2020 that his association with HT Media Group began. Since then he has played a significant role in the Group’s transformation and integration of technology into the workforce.

With the latest role expansion, he will be seen trying to strengthen community-led platforms, deepening audience engagement, and building scalable, high-impact IPs.

In his own words, Paras Kaushik considers this “an exciting opportunity to further strengthen our platforms and build enduring, high-impact communities”.

HRKatha wishes him all the best in his endeavour to contribute to the Group’s “next phase of growth.”
