CohnReznick, an advisory, assurance and tax services firm, has appointed Huma Tariq as its new director-people & culture. In this role, Tariq will spearhead organisational growth by driving talent development, employee engagement, and cultural transformation across the company’s operations in India and the Philippines.

Prior to this, Tariq was associated with Dvara KGFS as its chief human resources officer. She joined the company in the year 2021 and was based in Chennai.

An alumnus of Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Tariq’s passion lies in talent management, onboarding, employee engagement, organisational design and training & development.

She has previously worked with many companies such as Equitas Small Finance Bank, Cholamandalam MS General Insurance, Royal Sundaram Alliance Insurance, Zenta and Sundaram Home Finance.

She began her career with Sundaram Home Finance in the year 2001 as its manager-HR. In this role, she led the entire HR functions for the company and was responsible for the entire HR employee life cycle.

In the year 2006 she joined Zenta as its manager-HR and led the company’s entry- level hiring and campus placement. It was 2008, when she joined Royal Sundaram Alliance Insurance as its head-staffing and employee relations. In 2011, she was promoted to the role of head-talent strategy and employee relations. Her role required her to head the company’s staffing and HR business partnering PAN India.

Her next stop was Cholamandalam MS General Insurance, where she joined as general manager-HR in the year 2013. Here, Tariq was responsible for driving the company’s talent management through attracting, engaging, developing, leveraging and retaining employees across all levels.

In 2016, she moved to Equitas Small Finance Banks as its SVP.

Tariq holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Meenakshi College for Women.
