After successfully heading marketing at USV for almost four years, Shardul Bist has now moved to Indo National, the company known for the Nippo consumer electrical brand, accepting the role of chief marketing officer (CMO).
This young marketing professional brings about 17 years of experience to the table. Armed with a PGDM in Brand and Communications Management from Mudra Institute of Communications (MICA), Ahmedabad, he began his professional journey as a marketing manager at DY Works, in 2008. Three years and nine months later, he co-founded Sandsmith Brand Consult where he served as consultant-brand design and strategy for almost two and a half years.
January of 2014 saw him taking up the role of senior brand manager, Sparx, Relaxo Footwear. Two years and nine months into this role, he switched to Mother Dairy, where he played category head for over four years, from 2016 to 2020.
Shardul Bist’s next stop was Modi Naturals where he served as chief marketing officer (CMO) for over a year.
It was in January of 2022 that USV roped him in for the role of head-marketing (FMCG-food/nutrition, nutraceuticals).
Now, at India National, the manufacturer of Nippo batteries, Bist will contribute his deep expertise in marketing strategy, brand building and digital channel.
Pavan Kumar BVS, chief executive officer, Indo National, believes that Bist’s “proven marketing acumen and digital-first approach will help us shape a more contemporary and sustainable future for Nippo”.
Bist himself is keen to be part of “a legacy brand such as Nippo that’s continuously evolving with changing consumer needs” where he is keen to focus on “revitalising the brand’s identity, deepening consumer engagement, and strengthening its presence across both traditional and emerging channels along with entering new spaces”.
HRKatha wishes Shardul Bist all the best as he gears up to contribute to “Indo National’s vision of building a future-ready, purpose-driven brand”.
