Kamali Rajesh has been appointed chief people officer, PI Industries. She was earlier with Syngenta as global head of people and organisation development.
Armed with a master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Kamali Rajesh joined Pepsico in 1996, as a human resources executive. Two years later, she switched to Ford Motor Company, as general manager-human resources, in May 1998.

Over eight years into playing GM-HR, she was elevated to director-human resources (learning and development and HRBO), Asia Pacific and Africa. This role saw her working out of Bangkok for over two years. From 2009 to 2010, she was based out of Shanghai when she was promoted to director-HRBO, manufacturing and information technology, Asia Pacific and Africa. In 2011, she was made director-talent recruitment, learning and organisational development, Asia Pacific and Africa.

After an association of almost 16 years with Ford, Kamali Rajesh moved to Syngenta in August of 2015. She served as head of HR, ASEAN for over four years, based out of Singapore. In December of 2016, she was elevated to head of human resources, APAC-Syngenta for three years. By November of 2019, she had reached the position of global head of people and organisation development.

Now, after eight years at Syngenta, Kamali Rajesh will be playing global chief people officer of PI Industries, based out of Dubai.
Given her experience working across seven countries, Kamali Rajesh will prove to be an asset to the agrisciences and fine chemical companies.
HRKatha wishes her all the best in her new assignment, where she will continue her passion to build capable and future-ready organisations where people thrive!
