Priyadarshini Gaddam has taken on the role of director (personnel) at the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC). The Ministry of Steel has appointed her as a functional director on the Board of the company.

Earlier, Gaddam was chief general manager (personnel & administration) and the head of personnel for the NMDC corporate office in Hyderabad, as well as NMDC Steel in Nagarnar.

Gaddam had joined NMDC as an executive trainee in 1992. She steadily climbed up the ranks to achieve a leadership position inspiring women in the mining industry.

Having spent more than 30 years in the industry, Priyadarshini Gaddam has helped shape an ecosystem that is committed to making the workplace safe for women and provides equal opportunities for those in the margins. Thanks to her NMDC has been able to set the highest standards of employee welfare. She has managed to successfully streamline processes and procedures in industrial relations, hiring, medical policies and stakeholder management within the company. She represented NMDC in the Second Pay Revision Commission with respect to the Pay Revision of CPSEs and has since achieved significant outcomes in negotiating wage settlements.

At NMDC Steel (NSL), Priyadarshini Gaddam strategically led the rewards and recognition (R&R) policy, introduced skill-development initiatives for the community and established the Fire Department, Occupational Health Centre, and Primary Health Centre for the overall well-being and safety of the workforce.

This alumna of Osmania University, Hyderabad, holds a postgraduate degree in Social Work (Personnel Management and Industrial Relations) along with an LLB.
