    Ola Cabs appoints Yugantar Saikia as VP-Human Resources

    Online taxi and auto rickshaw aggregator Ola Cabs is all set to scale up its HR function and Saikia to play a vital role in sourcing top talent

    In an attempt to strengthen its HR vertical, cab service provider Ola Cabs has brought in Yugantar Saikia as vice president-human resources. In his new role, Saikia is expected to leverage on his experience of defining and scaling people functions that he has garnered for over a decade and attract top talent in to the organization.

    An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Saikia’s career spans over 16 years. His last stint was with California-based software company FICO as senior director, where he led the India operations. There he managed large mergers and acquisitions integration and built the APAC landscape for the company. Prior to this, he has worked with American Express and Ernst & Young.

    On Saikia’s appointment, Bhavnish Agarwal, co-founder and chief executive officer of Ola Cabs, says, “Saikia’s experience of scaling people functions is very valuable for Ola at this point in time.” He is optimistic that Saikia will be instrumental in making Ola Cabs as a preferred employer of top talent in India.
