Sumeet Bhowmick has taken on the role of chief human resources officer, at Padmini VNA Mechatronics. He moves from Regal Rexnord where he served as general manager, human resources since September 2024.
This certified Global Talent Management Leader and DiSC Trainer, holds a degree in computer application from CMR Group of Institutions. He also completed a PGDBM in Human Resources and Marketing from Integrated Academy of Management and Technology before joining Laurent & Benon Group as HR recruiter, in February 2006. Soon after, he moved to Infinite Computer Solutions as associate consultant-talent acquisition. For two years he worked after Bangalore, looking after IT recruitment, manpower planning, induction, employee MIS and so on.
September of 2008 saw him taking on the role of officer-HR, Larsen & Toubro, based out of New Delhi.
From 2010 to 2014, he was associated with Central Park, Gurgaon, as deputy manager-corporate HR.
In January of 2014 began his association with Federal-Mogul Motorparts. He joined as senior manager-business HR-India Aftermarket. Over three years into this role he was elevated to regional HR manager-India and South East Asia Pacific, working out of Gurgaon and Singapore. For over two years he managed the HR strategies and operations in India, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, before moving on to DRiV Incorporated, in April 2019. For the next five and a half years, he served as head0business HR, India, DRiV.
It was in September of 2024 that he joined Regal Rexnord India, as general manager-human resources.
Now, at Padmini VNA Mechatronics, a company that manufactures emission reduction auto components for the automobile industry, Sumeet Bhowmick will spearhead the transformation of the human resources department into a strategic business partner, enhancing organisational effectiveness. He will be tasked with helping cultivate a culture of empathy and compassion, leading to improved employee engagement and retention rates. He will also be expected to implement innovative HR initiatives that result in meaningful business improvement and people developments.
