    Paromita Roy elevated to global lead – HR strategy, culture & digital, One HRM, Tata Steel

    Tata Steel has elevated Paromita Roy to lead- HR strategy, culture & digital ,One HRM. Roy has been associated with Tata Steel for over 15 years now.

    She had joined the company way back in May 2010, as senior manager, total rewards. Over nine years of looking into total rewards policies later, she was elevated to HR innovation lab-business partnering. The next promotion came quickly, in less than a year, making her head of total rewards. Three and a half years into this role, she was elevated to head of leadership talent development. November of 2025 saw her being promoted to global lead-HR strategy, culture and digital, working out of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

    Since June of 2025, she has been handling workforce planning and engagement too for Tata Steel, based out of Netherlands. She has been driving data-driven workforce strategies to align talent with organisational needs ensuring that Tata Steel has the right people, skills and culture to thrive in the rapidly changing work environment.

    Before her association with Tata Steel began, Paromita Roy was assistant system engineer, Wipro Technology for a short while.

    Roy holds an MBA in HR from XISS, Ranchi and has completed a certification from Carnegie Mellon University-Tepper School of Business.

    In her elevated position, Roy will be responsible for shaping HR’s global strategic agenda across geographies, while driving a strong, unified culture and accelerating digital transformation across all entities.
