After serving Airtel as vice president-HR for over three years, Preeti Jain has taken up the role of chief people officer, Adani-GCC.

On completing an MBA in human resources in 1999, Jain started her career with HFCL, a telecom solutions provider, in 2001. At HFCL, Jain got hands-on experience of performance management, building an organisational culture, and formulating training and recruitment strategies at the firm.

After spending three years at HFCL, Jain moved to Conexant, which was later acquired by a US- based tech firm, Synaptics. She joined Conexant as an HR manager and spent close to four years there, before moving on to Huawei in 2009.

For over 11 years, she handled manpower planning and acquisition, strategy formulation and implementation, performance management, and policy formulations among other HR activities before moving to Droom in February 2021. She played CHRO at the online platform for buying and selling used cars.

It was in February 2022 that Preeti Jain began to head the HR function for Airtel’s network, broadband and D2H businesses, as vice president-human resources. She was reporting directly to the CHRO in this role, while managing the talent demand-supply at Airtel.

A graduate in mathematics, Jain has vast experience in the information technology, telecom and semiconductor industries across geographies, including the US, the UK, China and South East Asia. She is known for building tools to automate HR processes and retaining the best talent.

As the CPO of Adani-GCC she will now drive the strategic initiative of the group of building a world class GCC focused on processes, innovation and a talent hub internally.

HRKatha wishes Preeti Jain all the best in this endeavour!
