After a successful 11-year long stint as CHRO, India Today Group and COO, India Today Media Institute, Purva Misra has moved to NDTV, as chief people officer.

An alumna of St Stephen’s College, University of Delhi and XLRI, Jamshedpur, Purva Misra spent the first 13 years of her professional career with Hewitt Associates. She joined as project director and principal consultant, in 1997, and went on to become head-HR, India & Middle East eight years later. When she moved on from Hewitt in 2010, she was the HR director, Asia-Pacific. Her stint with Hewitt is the longest of her career till now.

Misra’s next stop was Max Healthcare, where she joined as director-HR. A little over a year into this role, Misra moved on to join MakeMyTrip, in 2012. She served as senior vice president of the Indian online travel company till August of 2013.

Misra’s association with India today began in August 2013. In the 11 years that she spent there, she looked into television, digital, print, radio, social media and education, as the CHRO, India Today Group and the chief operating officer of India Today Media Institute.

A certified executive coach, Misra has managed diverse talent across 10 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Leadership development, executive search, training and succession, restructuring and change, mergers and acquisitions, and international workforce relations are her areas of expertise.

Given the extensive research she has done on the best employers and people practices that help organisations thrive, Misra is sure to be an asset to NDTV. HRKatha wishes her all the best!
