    Ravi Kumar joins Puravankara as G-CHRO

    Ravi Kumar has joined Puravankara, an Indian real-estate development company, as its new group-chief human resources officer. In the new role, Kumar is expected to lead and strengthen the workforce strategy at Puravankara during a phase of sustained expansion.

    Prior to this, Kumar was associated with Page Industries, an Indian manufacturer and retailer of innerwear and the licensee of Jockey International in India. He joined the company on 18 April, 2022 as its chief people officer (CPO). In this role, Kumar led the HR function for the entire organisation, which employs about 29,000 people including staff working in the factories.

    Prior to this role, Kumar was the people and culture leader at Roche Diabetes Care Global Commercial Organisation for India, the Middle East and Africa.

    Kumar joined Roche Diagnostics in 2006, serving as head-HR for India, for over eight years. Kumar was associated with the Roche brand for almost 15 years, serving in various roles in different businesses for the Group.

    With more than two decades of experience in HR, Kumar started his career with L&T Turbo, where he spent more than three years. In 2000, he joined Saint Gobain as senior manager-HR.

    An alumnus of the Xavier Institute of Social Sciences, Kumar has completed his post graduate diploma in personnel management and HR, from the Institute.
