    Ravneet Singh elevated to GM and head-corporate HR, Tata Motors

    Singh was earlier general manager and head-talent acquisition, since 2024

    Ravneet Singh is the new general manager and head-corporate HR at Tata Motors. He has been associated with the company for over eleven and a half years now.

    Having completed a BTech in Electronics and Instrumentation from Kurukshetra University, Ravneet Singh went on to obtain an MBA in Human Resource Management and Marketing from Symbiosis International University, SIMS, Pune in 2009.

    He began his career as a senior human resources executive at Firstsource Solutions, based out of Kolkata, West Bengal, in June of 2009. A year into this role, he was elevated to assistant manager and relocated to Mumbai for over three years.

    Singh’s next stop was Tata Motors, as manager-human resources, in September 2013. Working out of Pune, he was part of the business HR team responsible for driving the people agenda across the manufacturing facility at Pune location. Three years into this role he was elevated to senior human resources manager and moved to Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand from 2016 to 2019. Another promotion in April of 2019 put him in the position of deputy general manager, supply chain and logistics, Tata Motors. In January of 2022 he was back in Mumbai as programme manager, human resources for Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle, and was responsible for driving and monitoring progress of HR Balanced Scorecard for head-HR, Tata Motors CVBU.

    December 2024 onwards, as general manager and head of talent acquisition at Tata Motors, he spearheaded the talent- acquisition process for commercial vehicles business. He also managed campus hiring, campus engagement and employer-branding initiatives, as well as lateral and leadership hiring thereby driving the recruitment strategy to attract top talent for the organisation.

    With this latest elevation, Ravneet Singh will drive key HR initiatives in collaboration with business units for Tata Motors’ Commercial Vehicle Business. He will partner with corporate and central business functions to enhance organisational effectiveness. He will lead strategic HR planning to align workforce capabilities with business goals.
