Bondada Group, an Indian company that provides integrated infrastructure solutions, has appointed Rear Admiral Sreenivas Ratnam, VSM (Retd), as group chief executive officer.

Admiral Sreenivas, who is an engineering graduate from Andhra University College of Engineering, completed an MSc in Defence & Strategic Studies from Defence Services Staff College Wellington and Madras University. He is a Master of Management Studies, Defence Mangement, from College of Defence Management and Osmania University. In November 2016, he completed his MPhil in Defence & Strategic Studies from National Defence College and Madras University.

After serving the Indian Navy for over 24 years, from February 1987 to August 2011, he served as Commodore Superintendent, Naval Ship Repair Yard, from November 2011 to February 2014.

March of 2014 saw him take up the role of general manager (refits), at Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam. In December 2016, he joined the Integrated Headquarters Ministry of Defence (Navy), as principal director (indigenisation).

Since February 2018 Real Admiral Sreenivas has been with the Ministry of Defence of India, as ADG acquisition technical (maritime and systems).

With this latest appointment at Bondada Group—the company that has a presence across the telecom and solar sectors, as well as the Indian Railways, and green construction—Rear Admiral Sreenivas will lead Bondada Group’s strategic direction, oversee operations, and champion its innovation roadmap, expanding the Group’s domestic footprint while scaling its global presence in infrastructure development.

He brings to the table a proven track record in operations, administration, large-scale project management, capital acquisitions and driving initiatives in self-reliance. Bondada Raghavendra Rao, chairman & managing director, Bondada Group, believes, Rear Admiral Sreenivas’ “legacy of disciplined leadership, transformative project execution, and deep sectoral expertise aligns seamlessly with our ambition to become a global leader in sustainable infrastructure. His stewardship will be instrumental in accelerating our strategic expansion and operational excellence.”
