OwnGCC, a company that drives business growth and workforce transformation with Global Capability Centres, has roped in Rohit Iyer for the role of chief human resources officer (CHRO).
Iyer was earlier with PwC as director-L&D, leadership coaching CoE, DEI.

An alumnus of Annamalai University, Rohit Iyer went on to complete a PGD in Training and Development from ICFAI in 2008.
Iyer began his professional journey with Firstsource Solutions where he joined as customer service associate in 2002. Just over two years into this role, he was elevated to communication skills trainer. By the time he moved on from Firstsource Solutions in 2007, he had become training executive.

January of 2007 saw him joining eLearning as senior HR executive-associate development and eLearning. He was then back at Firstsource Solutions for a second stint as HR-leadership and management development. For about a year and a half he was LMD consultant to the Asia Business Unit responsible for five delivery centres across India.

Thomson Reuters roped in for the role of assistant manager-HR (learning and development), in September of 2009. Two years later, he switched to Honeywell where he spent the next four odd years as manager-HR (organisational development and learning). This role saw him working out of Pune and Bangalore from 2011 to 2016.

Iyer’s next stop was Accenture, where he was learning and talent development business solutions lead for almost two years.
He served as associate director-learning and development, KPMG from 2017 to 2020.

It was in September of 2020 that he came to be associated with PwC as director-L&D, leadership coaching COE and DEI.

As an ICF credentialed coach, Rohit Iyer works with senior leaders to bring in presence, clarity of thought and intentional decision making to be truly human leaders.

In his new role at OwnGCC, Iyer will lead talent acquisition, development, and retention efforts, ensuring lean, outcome-focused teams while fostering a strong culture of ownership, growth and accountability.

HRKatha wishes him all the best in this endeavour!
