    Ruchika Pal is now playing group chief talent officer at Golden Agri-Resources (GAR). She was earlier with Apollo Tyres as group head-HR for over six years.

    An alumna of FORE School of Management, New Delhi, she began her tryst with Human Resources as an HR associate with DS Group, in Apirl 2003.

    By August 2004 she moved to Apollo Tyres as group HR manager, leading corporate and senior management talent acquisition, ensuring strategic hiring alignment with business needs. For over three years, she also managed compensation benchmarking and performance-linked pay processes, including wage-bill planning and bonus frameworks. She also designed international mobility plans and developed HR policies, pay structures, and grading matrices for greenfield operations.

    In October of 2007 she began a long and over a decade-long association with Mercer. She started off as associate|India TRS leader and Bangladesh leader.

    Three and a half years into this role, she was elevated to senior associate| West geo leader. Four years later came another promotion that made her principal-careers.

    Pal founded Talent Root Consulting and played chief consultant for over a year, working out of Dhaka, from 2018 to 2019. Among other assignments, she successfully advised an international not-for-profit on rewards strategy, benefits compliance, and global mobility policies across Singapore, South Africa, Philippines, Vietnam, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Bangladesh.

    She returned to Apollo Tyres for a second stint in May of 2019, taking up the role of group head-HR. For the next six and a half years she managed the global CoEs for talent management, learning and development, performance management, global rewards and mobility, and HR technology implementation for the group.

    Now, as group chief talent officer at GAR, the global seed-to-shelf agribusiness, she will head the global talent strategy even while serving as GM – transformation and change at Sinar Mas Agri, driving large-scale HR transformation and capability-building initiatives across the organisation.
