GPS Renewables, a full-stack biofuels firm has roped in Satender K Sighadia for the role of chief human resources officer (CHRO). He moves to GPS after a long and successful tenure of over 11 years with FMC Corporation.
An alumnus of the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, Sighadia served the Indian Army as a major for over six years, from 2001 to 2007.
In April of 2008 he joined Infosys as assistant manager, human resources. Three years into this role, he was elevated to lead, BPHR. He operated in a matrix organisation at both functional and strategic levels, partnering with business as an adviser for staffing, succession planning, leadership development and people solutions to drive business metrics. By November of 2012, he had been promoted to unit manager, BPHR.
After over five and a half years with Infosys, Sighadia joined FMC Corporation as HR manager, in 2013. He was elevated to senior human resources manager in 2015. He successfully led the M&A responsibilities during the acquisition of Cheminova by FMC. His responsibilities included restructuring of HR processes, practices and policies to ensure a seamless integration of both the companies. From 2017 to 2021, he served as senior human resources business partner. By January of 2022 he was made India HR head of the global agricultural science company tasked with leading the HR function for the commercial and manufacturing business at FMC India.
