Scaler, an Indian tech education firm, has appointed Abhinav Vijayvargiya as its new chief financial officer (CFO). He moves from from Khatabook where he was senior vice president, finance.
An alumnus of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, this CA started off as an assistant manager-internal audit (finance) at ITC, February 2011.
August of 2012 saw him moving to Mondelez International, where he took up the role of manager-commercial finance. Less than two years into this role, he was elevated to financial analyst-cost transformation project. In June of 2015, he became senior financial analyst-overhead BU controlling. Another promotion in 2016 made him finance manager-modern trade, e-com, CSD and exports.
July of 2017 was witness to Abhinav Vijayvargiya moving from Mumbai to Bangalore, to join Swiggy as GM, finance (commercial finance lead).
By October of 2018, he was promoted to director finance-lead finance at SuprDaily and Scootsy. By 2019, he had been elevated to director, finance-business finance (new initiatives-Instamart/Genie/Labs).
Vijayvargiya’s association with Khatabook began in April 2020, as vice president, finance. For four years he spearheaded fundraising initiatives by collaborating with management, consultants, and investors, enhancing financial stability. In april of 2024 he was elevated to senior vice president-finance.
Now, in his latest role at Scaler, Abhinav Vijayvargiya will join the company’s core leadership team and board, leading its finance function with a focus on financial governance, capital efficiency and long-term strategic planning.
