Boeing has roped in Shashank Jha for the role of head, information digital technology & security (IDT&S) and chief information officer (CIO) India. Additionally, Jha will be executive director of commercial product lifecycle management (PLM) products that are critical to Boeing’s engineering operations.

Jha moves from Dover where he was heading IT and software for Dover India Innovation Centre.

An alumnus of National Institute of Technology, Karnataka and Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Shashank Jha spent the first seven years of his professional journey with Rober Bosch India as project manager. There, he was involved in engineering methods and tools for electronic diesel control units.

His association with Honeywell began in 2007, as project manager for over two and a half years. Then, he was promoted to programme manager and by 2013 he had risen to the position of senior engineering manager.

When he moved on from Honeywell after a decade long tenure, in 2017, he had become director-IT delivery.

Shashank Jha’s next stop was GE Digital where he played senior director-digital technology.

It was in December of 2017 that he moved to Dover as head of IT and software for Dover’s India Innovation Centre.

In his new assignment with Boeing, Jha will lead strategy and operations for the 1,500-strong IDT&S team of the global aerospace company in India. He will be tasked with strengthening collaboration, talent development, and IDT&S India site engagement. Further, as part of the global engineering and product support teams, he will work with the business partners team across the global IDT&S function.

According to Lucia Chung, IDT&S vice president and engineering & product support CIO, Jha’s “decades of expertise in leading engineering systems and digital transformation at large conglomerates in the mobility and automation space, will help drive technology innovation and operational excellence for Boeing.”

Jha himself is keen to work with his new team “to drive innovation, build future-ready capabilities, and contribute meaningfully to Boeing’s long-term growth.”

HRKatha wishes him all the best!
