    Wipro ropes in GE Healthcare’s Rohit Vishal Gupta for global HR role

    Rohit Vishal Gupta, who was CHRO – South Asia, Wipro GE Healthcare, has moved to Wipro in a global HR role.

    An alumnus of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Gupta started his career in 1999, with ITC, as assistant HRM. He spent a good five years there before moving on to Surya Nepal to handle HRM for over two years, based out of Kathmandu. In 2006, he returned to ITC to head HR for the personal care products business. After successfully leading HR delivery for the youngest business of ITC, and establishing and scaling the business from the startup stage, for almost eight years, Gupta went on to become the head – HR and management committee member, for the printing and packaging business. He essayed this role for over three years. In his career, Gupta has spent the maximum time with ITC.

    In 2017, he joined GE as CHRO-Wipro GE Healthcare, South Asia. He also headed the CSR and Education Solutions Initiative for the Company.

    A science graduate from Delhi University, Gupta has a high-performance track record across various industries, including healthcare, packaging & printing, FMCG and garments.

    Known for his ability to execute, Gupta is described as a rare HR leader possessing extraordinary business acumen. Highly skilled in talent management, strategic HRM, industrial relations and employee engagement, Gupta will prove to be an asset to Wipro too.

      as HR/IR Consultant like to comment:
      Gupta’s description as quoted above is an asset particularly
      of late when managements are looking more for this rare,
