Wakefit Innovations, the Bengaluru-based home and sleep solutions company, has appointed Suman Yadav as its chief human resources officer, effective 1 October, 2026.
Yadav brings a diverse background to the role. She began her career in the Indian Army, serving over five years as Captain, where she managed logistics, resource planning, and personnel operations in high stakes border environments. After completing an executive programme in Business Management from IIM Bangalore, she transitioned into corporate HR.
Her first corporate role was at Infosys BPM in 2009, where she worked as senior lead business partner HR for the BFSI vertical across multiple locations. She spent three and a half years aligning HR practices with business goals before moving to Amazon in 2013.
At Amazon, Yadav served nearly 13 years as director HR, partnering with senior leaders in India and the US on organisation design, leadership capability, and performance. She also led global university hiring across 40+ countries, integrating 32,000 students annually and strengthening early talent diversity. During her tenure, she introduced a peer recognition platform that was adopted globally and earned the CEO’s “Just Do It” award.
In 2025, Suman Yadav founded NeonRay, a strategic advisory practice that worked with founders, boards, and CHROs on AI transformation, organisation design, talent architecture, and workforce planning. She also advised on evaluating next generation AI models for enterprise HR at Fortune 100 scale.
With her mix of military discipline, corporate HR expertise, and global leadership experience, Suman Yadav is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping Wakefit’s people and culture agenda as the company scales its D2C business.
