Yash Mohan has taken on the role of head of human resources, for Wells Fargo, India and the Philippines. Mohan has moved to the financial services company from BNY, where he had spent well over 15 years.

Having obtained a master’s degree in labour welfare from Symbiosis International University, Yash Mohan began his professional journey as a freelance journalist with HT Media Group. Almost four years into this job, he entered the HR arena, with an assignment as HR officer with Eagle Seals and Systems India, in 2002. Almost two years later, he moved to Ntrance Aviva Insurance as head of HR for a period of five years.

In May of 2009, he joined BNY as head of business HR. Less than seven years into this role, he was elevated to global HR head, global asset servicing. Another elevation happened in 2020, which put him in the position of global HR head, shared services and technology; head of HR-India. A year and a half later came another promotion, which made him head of human resources-APAC and India, working out of Singapore. He successfully led the end-to-end people strategy for the bank across 12 countries in the region.

In his social-media post, Mohan express his eagerness “to champion growth, connection, and innovation in this next chapter” where he hopes to build “something extraordinary together” with the Wells Fargo team.

Given that Mohan is back by over 22 years of experience in global human resources, across banking, insurance, SaaS and data analytics businesses in India, APAC and Americas region, he is sure to be an asset to Wells Fargo.

HRKatha wishes Yash Mohan all the best!
