    NxtWave, NSDC announce SkillUp India 4.0 to empower 30 lakh students

    The initiative will provide AI, ML and full stack development skills to make Indian students more employable

    NxtWave, an Indian tech education startup is collaborating with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) for ‘NxtWave SkillUp India 4.0’, an initiative that aims to empower over 30 lakh students in India.

    The initiative transcends conventional learning by conducting employability tests, workshops and hackathons across 3000 colleges in the country, influencing millions of students nationwide. With more than 500 prominent companies participating in job fairs and 1000+ partners offering employment opportunities, NxtWave is seamlessly connecting students and the job market.

    Underlining its commitment to quality education and training for all, NxtWave is offering free access to premium tech programmes, including a two-year full stack + AI/ML course, worth Rs 2 lakh, for deserving students.

    “SkillUp India 4.0 is more than just an educational initiative; it is a movement to democratise access to education for millions and ensure that every student in India has the opportunity to foster a future-ready skill set. Together with NSDC, we are committed to creating a more skilled and employable India” said Rahul Attuluri, CEO, NxtWave.

    The official unveiling of the initiative will take place on 3 September, 2024, when a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between NxtWave and NSDC. The event will be attended by eminent dignitaries, such as Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, National Skill Development Corporation, who will deliver key insights into India’s evolving education landscape.

    The launch event will also feature comprehensive panel discussions on topics pertaining to youth empowerment and building a future-ready workforce.

    The discussions will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and educators to delve into the challenges and opportunities of Industry 4.0 and empower students to thrive in the digital age.

    Founded by Sashank Reddy Gujjula, Anupam Pedarla, and Rahul Attuluri—alumni of IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, and IIIT Hyderabad—NxtWave is on a mission to create India’s largest employability platform for tech careers. It offers vernacular, asynchronous and cohort- based training programmes in Industry 4.0 Tech career tracks for college students, graduates and early professionals. Over the past couple of years, NxtWave has facilitated the hiring of thousands of its learners by more than 2000 companies.

    The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is a not-for-profit public limited company established under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). Operating as a unique Public Private Partnership (PPP), NSDC is the principal architect of India’s skill ecosystem.
